BOBCARD has rolled out another limited-time cashback offer recently, this time focused on utility bill payments. For nearly a month, eligible cardholders can save extra while paying bills, making it a handy offer for regular monthly spends.
This is a targeted offer, so check your SMS or email with the subject line “Pay Bills, Get 5% Cashback with BOBCARD” to confirm your eligibility.
Offer Details
This one’s quite straightforward: spend at least ₹5,000 on utility payments during the offer period and you get 5% cashback, capped at ₹500. For example, pay ₹5,000 in utility bills and earn ₹250, or pay ₹10,000 and get the max ₹500 cashback.
Cashback is expected by 30 Nov 2025, but keep in mind it depends on the merchant category code (MCC). So, even if you pay through popular bill pay apps, the transaction may not qualify if the app doesn’t report the right MCC.
The only downside is the low cap of ₹500, which is still decent though. For heavy utility spenders, the offer value runs out quickly. Extending the cap to at least ₹1,000 would have made this much more exciting.
Final Thoughts
It’s interesting to see BOBCARD coming up with new offers almost every month now. August 2025 had a flat 1% cashback on spends, September brings 5% on utilities, and it makes me curious about what they might line up for the Diwali festive season in October.
While these offers are certainly good to have on BOB Eterna Credit Card, it will be nice to see a new and noteworthy super premium credit card from BOBCards.
