Update 7/8/25: This has now been publicized by the White House press secretary and thus appears to be confirmed. Still no official word from TSA.
Original Post 7/7/25:
Starting today, July 7, 2025, travelers do not have to remove their shoes when going through airport security. That includes almost all travelers, even those who do not have TSA-Precheck. Someone who does not have REAL ID identification will have to remove their shoes.
Wow, nice, I did not see this coming.
