If you frequently travel through Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2 on domestic flights, chances are you are already familiar with the massive 080 Lounge. However, there is also a relatively compact VIP section within the same lounge that is far quieter and more comfortable.
I have visited this lounge a couple of times since 2024, and here is everything you need to know about this VIP lounge and how to access it.
Check-in

The check-in for this section of the lounge happens at the same reception desk as the 080 Lounge.
If your card is eligible, the staff will mention it on the slip, which is then validated again at the lounge entrance. The staff will also guide you to the VIP section.
Seating Area
The lounge features beautiful decor at the centre, which I personally enjoy, especially when it is well lit.

The seating layout consists of a good number of tables, arranged more like a dining area and less like a traditional lounge. That said, the seating is very comfortable and ideal for spending an hour or so.

During my visits, it is usually just me and one other table occupied, with the rest of the lounge largely empty, thanks to the limited card acceptance (back then).
Food
Since the lounge sees limited footfall, hot food is not served here at the moment. Guests need to access the buffet area of the main 080 Lounge for hot meals.
However, the VIP lounge does offer a selection of cold desserts. I expect hot food service to begin here once the footfall increases.
Drinks
Earlier, the lounge only offered tea and coffee with some biscuits and stuff. However, during my most recent visit in December 2025, I noticed that they had started offering one complimentary drink per guest.

Lounge Access
For almost a year, only ICICI Bank Emeralde credit cards were accepted for access to this lounge. However, during my latest visit, I learned that several additional cards are now eligible. Here are the ones I am aware of:
I compiled the above list after reviewing the images of the cards accepted for entry at the lounge. Eligibility may change at any time.
I have personally accessed this lounge multiple times using the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Credit Card, and the experience has always been seamless.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Courtyard Club that’s popularly known as VIP Lounge at KIAL Terminal 2 is a great alternative if you prefer a quieter and more relaxed pre-flight experience.
While it currently relies on the main 080 Lounge for hot food, the comfortable seating, low crowd levels, and newly introduced drink service make it a worthwhile option if your card is eligible.
If you value peace over variety, this VIP section does its job well. However, with more cards now getting access, including the BOB Eterna which is now available as Lifetime Free, it will be interesting to see if the lounge stays this quiet going forward.
